Brawl Stars Teaser: Supercell’s 3v3 Battler
Supercell, the developer behind Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, teased its next mobile title on June 14, 2017, through official Twitter and Reddit channels. The game, called Brawl Stars, is positioned as a real-time multiplayer 3-vs-3 battler where teams compete to collect crystals from the center of the map.
Gameplay and Modes
The core objective revolves around collecting crystals from the central zone, but Brawl Stars features four distinct modes that vary the win conditions. In Smash & Grab, the first team to collect and hold ten crystals wins, with the risk of dropping crystals upon death adding tension. Bounty awards stars for eliminating opponents; the team with the most stars at the end claims victory. Heist splits teams into attackers and defenders around a safe, with a two-minute timer to crack or protect it. Showdown drops ten players into a shrinking arena where the last survivor wins.
Progression and Social Features
Players unlock and upgrade brawlers using three collectible currencies: Coins, Elixir, and Chips. Each brawler has unique abilities, and upgrading them improves stats and effectiveness. Social features allow players to team up with friends, form groups, and share strategies, encouraging cooperative play similar to clans in other Supercell games.
Supercell scheduled a livestream at 5 PM BST to reveal more details about Brawl Stars. The initial teaser was reported by Killercow.
