7 Days to Die: Console Launch & Walking Dead Skins
Telltale Publishing has announced a partnership that will bring the zombie survival game 7 Days to Die to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in June. The deal, which covers both digital and retail distribution, marks the first console release for the title.
Developed by The Fun Pimps, 7 Days to Die launched on Steam Early Access in 2013 after a successful Kickstarter campaign. The game combines elements of RPGs, first-person shooters, and tower defense in an open-world, post-apocalyptic setting where players must scavenge, craft, and build defenses to survive against hordes of zombies. It has sold over 1.5 million copies on PC.
Console Edition and Pre-Order Incentives
The console edition will be priced at $29.99 USD. Players who pre-order the game will receive five character skins from Telltale’s The Walking Dead series, including Lee Everett and Michonne. These cosmetic items bring familiar faces from the acclaimed adventure series into 7 Days to Die’s blocky survival world. Telltale Publishing, best known for narrative-driven titles, is handling both physical and digital distribution for the console versions.
About the 7 Days to Die Steam
7 Days to Die Steam players quickly learn that the looming horde night transforms base building into a frantic architectural puzzle where every barricade and trap placement is a gamble against the undead tide.
The Steam reviews consistently highlight how the game’s layered crafting system and high-pressure gunplay make moments of calm resource gathering feel like tense preparation for an inevitable siege.
