Market research firm Circana released its weekly active-user rankings for the week ending August 3, covering Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Executive director Mat Piscatella posted the top 10 lists for each platform on social media, highlighting notable shifts in player engagement across the three ecosystems.
Console Rankings
Riot Games’ Valorant continues to gain traction on consoles, appearing at #9 on PlayStation 5 and #7 on Xbox Series X|S. The First Descendant, which saw a strong launch last month, has been steadily declining and now barely holds spots on the PlayStation and Xbox charts while disappearing entirely from Steam’s most-played list. A significant engagement surge came from Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which experienced an 8.5x spike in weekly active users after being added to PlayStation Plus.
Steam Highlights
On Steam, two titles climbed back into the top 10: 7 Days to Die and Path of Exile, moving up from their previous positions of #11 and #12 respectively.
