PUBG Removes Leo Jumpsuit Over Tail Glitch
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ 4.3 update rolled out this week, bringing the new Survival Mastery system and a round of shotgun changes. Along with the gameplay tweaks, PUBG Corp added a batch of Halloween-themed cosmetics to the store, headlined by the ‘Leo Jumpsuit’—a full lion costume. But the king of the jungle quickly found himself at the center of an unintended, rather explicit wardrobe malfunction.
A Tail of Misfortune
The Leo Jumpsuit lets players dress up as a lion, complete with a tail. Unfortunately, that tail is stiff, not the floppy appendage one might expect. During parachute drops, the tail clips through the character model and positions itself between the lion’s legs. The result is an unmistakable silhouette that looks less like a zoo animal and more like a lion exposing its nether regions.
PUBG Corp quickly acknowledged the problem, removing the Leo Jumpsuit from the store while they investigate. “Please be aware that the ‘Leo Jumpsuit’ is temporarily unavailable for purchase as we work to resolve an issue related to this skin,” PUBG Support tweeted. Players who already bought the skin are receiving BP refunds. The studio didn’t specify the exact nature of the issue, but anyone who has seen the tail-in-crotch pose can guess why.
